Rondo is a dark-skinned grape variety, used for making red and rosé wine. It is a hybrid grape created in 1964. It has been protected since 1997, when it was first planted commercially by Thomas Walk Vineyard in Ireland under the name Amurensis Walk; it became Rondo in 1999.

Rondo is an early ripening variety which possesses high resistance against frost and downy mildew.  However it may be necessary to give annual treatments against powdery mildew in some vineyards.  Rondo produces a ruby-red wine and is cultivated in many locations in northern Europe where dark-skinned traditional varieties struggle to ripen and produce quality fruit.  Rondo grows exceptionally well here in North Wales and can also be found in many locations in northern Europe including Denmark, England, Ireland, the Netherlands and Sweden.
